The head diameter at the widest point of the head is indicated by the last 3 digits of the ISO coding for dental drills in mm.

Grain size:

The roughness or grain size of the head. It is important that when placing your order you indicate the type of grain you want, the type of roughness can be identified by the color of the dental bur. The roughness classification of dental burs is also standard and these are the ones that Bader has available:

Yellow: Extra fine (SF/XF) 30 microns ISO 504

Red: Fine (F) 46 microns ISO 514

Blue: Standard/ Medium (M) 126 microns ISO 524

Green: Thickness (C) 151 microns ISO 534

Black: Super thick (SC) 181 microns ISO 544
